8 Nightmares

Sophia must have fallen asleep. She wakes up with a start, clutching a book. Lying on a mattress on the wooden floor she feels dampness underneath her. She has wet herself, for the first time in her adult life. Appalled at this, she quickly changes the sheet on the mattress and thoroughly cleans herself up, in the bathroom, with a soapy cloth. Looking in the mirror she has that “what’s come over me” look.
